eNewsletter - 7 October 2008 In this issue

Dear Mrs Lees,

Welcome to the latest edition of the FPB's eNewsletter!

On 1 October 2008, a new batch of changes to regulations and provisions of the Companies Act 2006 came into force.

This week, to make sure your business is up to date with these important changes, we have some top tips on directors' duties and how to keep your website legal. Plus, we look at the possible legal pitfalls of dealing with retirement.

We also tell you how to enter your business for the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise and offer you a chance to win a copy of Richard Branson's new book.

And finally, a member has alerted us to a possible vehicle insurance loophole. After putting in a claim, he was told his vehicles were not insured for business use because they had his company name written on the side, which constituted a modification he had not declared. Check your policy for similar clauses!
